MSTY Dividend Announcement Today
—
The YieldMax® MSTR Option Income Strategy ETF is a YieldMax option-income fund on Strategy Inc (MSTR). It declares with Group 2, and this page carries its newest declared distribution together with the one thing a single fund's own history cannot tell you: how that check compares with every other YieldMax fund that declared on the same day.
Want MSTY's next amount the morning it lands?
MSTY declares with its group, so one email per announcement covers it — each amount next to that fund's own recent pace. Nothing else.
What would make this page wrong: the figures above hold unless YieldMax has revised an amount or posted one since our last afternoon sweep, in which case they are behind until the next one — the update date under the table is how you tell. The return-of-capital figure is the issuer's own estimate and does get revised. And a fund falling further than its peers doesn't prove there is anything wrong with the fund: the comparison below covers only the — YieldMax funds we read, not every fund that declared somewhere that day.
A declared amount is not what lands. That depends on the shares you held on the ex-date, and the difference is where a mistake hides: these funds' checks swing so much week to week that one paid short does not look wrong. The Snowball Dividend Tracker keeps your side of the record — shares, dates, what actually arrived — and its Sheets edition pulls MSTY's declared amounts straight from this site, so a short payment stands out instead of blending in. $14 once, Excel or Sheets.
Is this a cut?
—
That comparison is the reason this page exists. A fund falling on a day when its whole group falls is telling you about option premium, which moves with volatility and is nobody's decision. A fund falling on a day when its peers rise is telling you something about the fund. The two look identical if you only ever see one fund's own number, which is all most sources show you.
MSTY's recent checks
—
The complete payment record, every declared distribution with its ex-date and a chart of the lot, is on MSTY's dividend history page. This page is deliberately only about the newest one.
How much of this check is your own money back?
—
Return of capital is the portion of a distribution that is not income but your own capital handed back. It matters twice: it is not taxed as a dividend, and paying it out reduces the fund's NAV, which is the mechanism behind the erosion holders complain about. Treat the figure as an estimate — the issuer revises it, and the number that counts for tax is the one on your 1099-DIV after year end, not the one published beside the distribution.
When does MSTY declare?
—
A declaration is not a payment. The amount is announced first, the fund goes ex-dividend the next trading day, and the cash arrives a day or two later — so the amount below is already settled even though it has not reached your account yet.
The other funds
MSTY is one of — YieldMax funds we read every afternoon. The full board carries all of them in one table, and Group 2 carries just the funds that declare on MSTY's day.
