What MPIM Will Do, Per the Filing
MPIM launched on August 12, 2026 on NYSE Arca — the third m+ funds autocall to list that day, alongside MPDY and MPIA, making the August wave six funds in two days, not the five most coverage counted. MPIM was the one almost nobody noticed — including, for a day, our own launch board, which is why our radar now audits the category census daily.
The machine: a laddered portfolio of overlapping autocallable positions on the S&P U.S. Equity Momentum 40% VT 4% Decrement Autocall Index — the suite's twist being the underlying itself: a momentum-managed basket of US equities rather than a plain index, run at a 40% volatility target. Coupons flow while the index holds above its thresholds; deep-barrier losses arrive only in a severe decline. At listing the index's weighted average coupon ran near 16.5% — a target-setting input, not a promised yield. Expense ratio 0.70%, like its siblings.
No payment history exists yet — MPIM sits on our First-Check Watch with the rest of the wave, and we'll chart every distribution from the first one. The machinery in plain English is in our autocallable ETF explainer.
What Nobody Can Know Yet
A registration filing is a plan, not a product. Until MPIM trades, there is no payment history, no real yield, and no evidence of how its strategy behaves in live markets — any number you hear before launch is a target or a guess. Filings also get delayed, renamed, or quietly abandoned; this page's status updates daily either way. When MPIM does launch, we chart every payment from its very first one, free.
One email the day a new income fund launches — nothing else, ever. We watch the issuers' own sites continuously; you hear before the videos exist.
Frequently Asked Questions
When did MPIM launch?
It launched Aug 12, 2026. The registration was first seen in SEC records dated Aug 7, 2026; issuers typically launch within months of filing, but filings can also stall. The status box above updates daily, and the launch tracker shows everything else on the runway.
What will MPIM pay?
Unknowable until it trades — there is no payment history and the filing promises no rate. The strategy is option-income, so distributions would depend on real option premiums once live.
What makes MPIM different from MPDY and MPIA?
The underlying. All three m+ funds run laddered autocallable machinery, but MPDY references S&P 500 futures, MPIA references the Nasdaq-100 with a growth component, and MPIM references a momentum-managed US equity index — a basket that rotates toward recent winners, volatility-targeted at 40%. Momentum baskets can be jumpier than plain indexes, which is the raw material autocall coupons are priced from. Until distributions exist, all differences are on paper; we'll chart the real checks from #1.
