TOPW Distribution — Quick Facts
  • Pays: weekly.
  • First paid: September 2025 — every payment since is charted below, across both ticker symbols.
  • Searching for WPAY? Same fund. It launched September 2025 as the Roundhill WeeklyPay Universe ETF under ticker WPAY, and in March 2026 was renamed the Top WeeklyPay ETF and re-tickered TOPW. Most data sites show a broken, partial record under the old symbol — this chart is the continuous history.
  • What it is: a fund-of-funds holding Roundhill's WeeklyPay ETFs — the 1.2x weekly-reset single-stock funds — for the 25 largest U.S. companies by market cap (Solactive Roundhill WeeklyPay Universe Index), passing their weekly distributions through as one check.
  • Fee: 1.28% gross expense ratio, 0.99% net after waiver (issuer page) — on top of the underlying WeeklyPay funds' own economics.

One ticker, twenty-five leveraged machines underneath: each holding is a swap-based fund targeting 1.2x its stock's weekly return with a formula-set payout. Diversification across 25 mega-caps softens any single stock's disaster, but the WeeklyPay mechanics — leverage, formula distributions that are largely return of capital — pass straight through.

Every Distribution Payment, Over Time

What Happened to WPAY?

A rename with a strategy change. The fund launched in September 2025 as the WeeklyPay Universe ETF (WPAY) — one wrapper for the whole WeeklyPay family. In March 2026 Roundhill narrowed the mandate to WeeklyPay funds on the 25 largest U.S. companies, renamed it the Top WeeklyPay ETF, and moved it to the ticker TOPW. Same fund, same record — but most data sites split or lost the history at the switch, which is why WPAY searches turn up fragments.

The underlying machines are charted here too: NVDW, AAPW, GOOW, MSTW, PLTW, HOOW, COIW, and TSLW — compare the bundle against any single engine on the compare tool.

When Is TOPW's Next Ex-Dividend Date?

TOPW pays weekly. The exact date of each payout is announced by the fund only shortly beforehand, so no site can promise the next date — but the live schedule box above shows the most recent ex-dividend date and the expected window for the next one, computed from TOPW's actual payment rhythm. Remember: you must own shares before the ex-dividend date to receive that payout.

TOPW's Record So Far

TOPW — the Roundhill Top WeeklyPay ETF — has paid every week since September 2025, first as WPAY and, since March 2026, under its current ticker. The chart above shows the continuous record; the year-by-year table totals it.

The Index of Income Machines

Most fund-of-funds bundle passive holdings; TOPW bundles engines. Each position is itself a WeeklyPay fund running 1.2x leveraged exposure to one of America's 25 largest companies with a formula-driven payout — so TOPW behaves like a leveraged mega-cap index that mails you a slice of itself weekly. When the giants rally, the leverage compounds in its favor; when they fall, the distributions keep flowing out of a shrinking base. Return-of-capital classifications mean the checks also lower your cost basis — math our Cost Basis Calculator tracks lot by lot.

Reading the Chart Honestly

Two eras live on this chart: the broader Universe mandate (through March 2026) and the top-25 mandate since. Judge the payout line accordingly, and judge the fund on total return against plain mega-cap exposure — the compare tool runs TOPW against QQQ, VOO, or any single WeeklyPay engine in one view.
