THTA Distribution — Quick Facts
  • Pays: monthly.
  • First paid: December 2023 — every payment since is charted below.
  • What it is: a portfolio of U.S. Treasury bills and bonds with a defined-risk index option credit-spread overlay — Treasury yield as the floor, option premium as the enhancement.
  • Fee: 0.61% total expense ratio (issuer fund page).
  • The management: SoFi-branded in the Tidal ETF Trust; originally sub-advised by ZEGA Financial, whose trading team moved to Tidal Investments (the current manager) in 2025.

Defined-risk means every spread has a known maximum loss when it's opened — the structural opposite of naked option selling. The cost of that safety is a modest premium haul: THTA aims to beat T-bill yield, not to compete with double-digit option funds.

Every Distribution Payment, Over Time

THTA pays monthly. Each point below is one distribution since the fund began paying in December 2023.

T-Bills With a Turbocharger

The safest income on this site is a T-bill fund like BIL; the spiciest sells options with open-ended risk. THTA stakes out the space between: Treasuries do the heavy lifting, and credit spreads — with capped, known losses — add a premium layer on top.

The fair test is against its floor: does the option layer reliably beat what plain T-bills paid, after the months the spreads lost? Overlay THTA against BIL or SGOV on the compare tool.

When Is THTA's Next Ex-Dividend Date?

THTA pays monthly. The exact date of each payout is announced by the fund only shortly beforehand, so no site can promise the next date — but the live schedule box above shows the most recent ex-dividend date and the expected window for the next one, computed from THTA's actual payment rhythm. Remember: you must own shares before the ex-dividend date to receive that payout.

THTA's Record So Far

THTA — the SoFi Enhanced Yield ETF — launched in November 2023 and has paid monthly since December 2023. The chart above shows every declared distribution.

Enhancement, Not Transformation

Most funds on this site turn an asset into an income machine; THTA merely turns the dial up on the safest one. Treasury yield sets the floor, and the spread overlay tries to add a point or two — with losses capped by construction in the months the market moves against it. It's income engineering for people who read risk disclosures first.

Reading the Chart Honestly

The number that matters is the spread over T-bills across a full year — single months flatter or punish the overlay unfairly. Watch the year-by-year table against what BIL paid in the same years.
