JPO Dividend History

The lowest distribution rate of the twenty Group 2 funds, and nearly nine tenths of the latest check estimated as income rather than returned capital. Those two facts belong together.

JPO Distribution — Quick Facts
  • The lowest rate here, and the best-funded check: a 19.6% distribution rate — the smallest of these twenty funds — with 88.52% of the October 28, 2026 distribution estimated as income and only 11.48% return of capital.
  • Pays: weekly since October 9, 2025, a week earlier than most of the cohort; monthly for the 25 payments before that.
  • The record: 81 distributions since October 6, 2023. Monthly ones ran $0.2009 to $0.6929; the 56 weekly ones run $0.046 to $0.4229, median $0.0725.
  • SEC yield: 2.46%, giving a distribution-rate-to-SEC-yield ratio of about 8 — among the tightest on this list.
  • Size and fee: $29.06M of net assets, a $13.36 NAV, and a 1.04% gross expense ratio.

Across these twenty funds the pattern is consistent enough to be worth stating plainly: the funds advertising the biggest distribution rates are generally the ones returning the most capital, and JPO sits at the opposite corner — smallest rate, highest income share. Neither corner is automatically the better fund, but the pairing is not a coincidence. The figures quoted in the text on this page are those the issuer published for the 29 October 2026 ex-date; the chart and the table above are drawn live from the payment record and show every distribution since, including any declared after that date.

Every Distribution Payment, Over Time

Each point is a declared JPO distribution from October 6, 2023, with 25 monthly payments before the October 2025 switch and 56 weekly ones after. JPO, BABO and DIPS all moved a week ahead of the rest of Group 2, on October 9.

Small Rate, Earned Check

JPO's 19.6% distribution rate is the lowest of the twenty YieldMax Group 2 funds covered here. Its return-of-capital estimate is also the second lowest among those that report any: 11.48%, against 88.52% income, on the October 28, 2026 payment.

Compare SNOY on the same date — a 45.55% distribution rate with 97.9% of the check estimated as return of capital. Same issuer, same mechanism, and almost exactly inverted funding. A payout screener sorts those two in the wrong order. The compare tool puts them on one chart with the share price, which is the comparison that survives.

When Is JPO's Next Ex-Dividend Date?

JPO pays weekly — declared each Wednesday, ex-dividend the Thursday — after 25 monthly payments through October 2025. The exact date of each payout is announced by the fund only shortly beforehand, so no site can promise the next date — but the live schedule box above shows the most recent ex-dividend date and the expected window for the next one, computed from JPO's actual payment rhythm. Remember: you must own shares before the ex-dividend date to receive that payout.

Eighty-One Distributions Since October 2023

JPO began paying on October 6, 2023. Twenty-five monthly distributions followed, from $0.2009 to $0.6929, and since October 9, 2025 there have been 56 weekly ones, from $0.046 to $0.4229 with a median of $0.0725. The most recent is $0.0504 for the October 29, 2026 ex-date.

The Trade-Off, Stated in the Issuer's Own Numbers

A 19.6% distribution rate is the smallest headline figure among the twenty funds on this list. Underneath it, the October 28, 2026 payment is estimated at 88.52% income and 11.48% return of capital — close to the opposite of what the high-rate funds in the same cohort report. The 2.46% 30-day SEC yield is also one of the closest here to its own distribution rate, a ratio of about 8 where SNOY's is roughly 44.

Why a Bank Behaves Differently From a Meme Stock

An option seller is paid for volatility, and JPMorgan supplies less of it than Roblox or GameStop do. That caps the premium and therefore the distribution, which is why JPO's weekly checks cluster near $0.07 while RBLY's cluster near $0.20. The same lack of movement is what lets the fund cover most of its payment out of what it actually collects. On $29.06M of net assets at a $13.36 NAV, with a 1.04% gross expense ratio.
