- This fund is short TSLA. It is not a covered-call fund on Tesla. The distribution comes from option premium, but the share price goes up when Tesla falls and down when Tesla rises. YieldMax runs TSLY for the long side.
- Pays: weekly, having paid monthly from June 2024 until October 16, 2025. The step down in the chart that autumn is the schedule changing.
- The record: 73 distributions since June 6, 2024 — 18 monthly at $0.1236 to $0.9877, then 55 weekly at $0.0326 to $0.5044.
- Return of capital: 0.00% on the October 28, 2026 distribution, with 100.00% income, per the footnote on YieldMax's own page.
- The numbers either side: a 50.82% distribution rate against a 2.69% SEC yield, on $11.89M of net assets at a $16.86 NAV and a 1.05% gross expense ratio.
Tesla's volatility is what makes a 50.82% distribution rate possible here, and it is symmetrical: the same movement that funds the premium moves the share price against a holder who guessed the direction wrong. Being short does not reduce that — it reverses which direction hurts. The figures quoted in the text on this page are those the issuer published for the 29 October 2026 ex-date; the chart and the table above are drawn live from the payment record and show every distribution since, including any declared after that date.
Each point is one declared CRSH distribution from June 6, 2024. The 18 to the left of autumn 2025 are monthly and the 55 after are weekly, so compare four weeklies to one monthly. What the payout line cannot show you is direction: read it with the share price, because this fund's price rises when Tesla falls.

"Next expected" is estimated from CRSH's recent payment rhythm — the fund announces exact dates shortly before each payout, and the data feed can lag a few days. You must own shares before the ex-dividend date to receive that payout; the cash typically arrives days later. See every fund's upcoming date on the live dividend calendar.
A real total-return estimate, assuming every payout was reinvested — including what happened to the share price. Before taxes and fees. Past performance does not predict the future.
Selling options generates premium whichever way the underlying moves, which is why CRSH has paid 73 consecutive distributions through a period that took Tesla in both directions. Its latest check is $0.1648 and 100% income by the issuer's estimate — no return of capital at all.
The part that is not symmetrical is the share price. A holder who bought CRSH wanting exposure to a company they like has bought exposure to that company falling. That is the single most important thing on this page, and it is not visible anywhere in the distribution record. Put CRSH and TSLY side by side in the compare tool and the mirror shows up immediately.

When Is CRSH's Next Ex-Dividend Date?
CRSH pays weekly — declared each Wednesday, ex-dividend the Thursday — after 18 monthly payments through October 2025. The exact date of each payout is announced by the fund only shortly beforehand, so no site can promise the next date — but the live schedule box above shows the most recent ex-dividend date and the expected window for the next one, computed from CRSH's actual payment rhythm. Remember: you must own shares before the ex-dividend date to receive that payout.
The Short Side, Which Changes What the Payout Means
CRSH has paid 73 distributions since June 6, 2024, every one of them funded by option premium collected against a synthetic short Tesla position. The distribution record therefore says almost nothing about whether a holder made money: the premium arrives in either direction, and the share price moves opposite to the stock. A fund that pays $0.1648 a week while its NAV falls and one that pays the same while its NAV rises produce identical payout charts.
Two Eras, 18 Monthly and 55 Weekly
The first 18 payments were monthly, spanning $0.1236 to $0.9877. Since October 16, 2025 there have been 55 weekly ones, between $0.0326 and $0.5044. The autumn 2025 step in the chart is that change and not a reduction, which matters more here than on most pages because Tesla's own volatility makes the surrounding payments jump around enough to hide it.
What the Issuer Publishes Beside the Payment
A 50.82% distribution rate sits next to a 2.69% 30-day SEC yield on YieldMax's page, and under the table a footnote estimates the October 28, 2026 distribution at 0.00% return of capital and 100.00% income. The SEC yield excludes option income by regulation, so it is not the fund's earnings; the return-of-capital split is the figure that tells you whether a check was funded or returned, and on this date CRSH's was funded.
