Dividend Aristocrats: The Full List

All 69 current members, each measured on what the membership rule leaves out: how much it pays today and how fast the check is growing.

The Full List, Measured

The S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats are S&P 500 companies that have raised their dividend for at least 25 consecutive years, a list S&P Dow Jones Indices has maintained as an index since May 2, 2005. This page uses the current membership as held by ProShares' NOBL fund on September 18, 2026: 69 companies. For each one we pulled the full payment record and measured the two things the membership rule doesn't tell you: how much it pays now, and how fast the check has been growing.

Yield = dividends with ex-dates in the last 12 months ÷ today's price. 5-yr growth = compound annual change in the regular annualized dividend rate (each check × its payments per year), special dividends excluded. "Payment Record" is our health verdict from each company's recent checks. Click a header to sort.

Yield or Growth: The List Splits in Two

Sort the table by yield and then by growth and you get two different lists. The highest current payers, AMCR (6.16%), CLX (5.82%), O (5.72%), HRL (5.68%), have grown their regular dividend between +1.5% and +3.6% a year over five years. The fastest growers, CTAS (+17.0%/yr), FAST (+13.2%/yr), AFL (+13.1%/yr), NDSN (+13.0%/yr), pay 0.95% to 2.09% today. A rising price holds a growing company's yield down; a slow grower with a flat price shows a bigger number. 46 of the 69 yield more than the 1.76% median S&P 500 payer, so "aristocrat" on its own tells you almost nothing about income size.

To turn either kind into a number you can plan with, the dividend goal calculator prices a monthly income target against any ticker, and the dividend yield calculator shows trailing and forward yield side by side.

Why We Don't Recount the 25 Years

Counting a streak from market-data payment records looks easy and isn't. Sum each calendar year, check that it rose, and Coca-Cola's feed data stops at 23 years: the feed carries a doubled row in September 2001, so 2001 shows five payments and the ordinary four-payment 2002 reads as a cut. A payment that slides across New Year, a split, a special dividend or a switch in how often a company pays causes the same kind of false break. So membership here comes from the index itself, and our records supply what an index list leaves out: today's yield, the five-year growth rate and the current payment verdict, each linked to the full payment history.

Questions People Ask

What is a dividend aristocrat?

A company in the S&P 500 that has raised its dividend for at least 25 consecutive years. S&P Dow Jones Indices tracks them as the S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats index, launched May 2, 2005.

How many dividend aristocrats are there?

69 as of September 18, 2026, based on the holdings of ProShares' NOBL, which tracks the index. The membership changes when S&P reviews the index.

Which dividend aristocrat has the highest yield?

AMCR at 6.16% on dividends paid over the last 12 months, as of September 21, 2026. Yields move with the share price every day, and the highest yielders on this list have been the slower dividend growers.

Which dividend aristocrat grows its dividend fastest?

CTAS, at +17.0% a year over the last five years in our records, with a 0.95% yield today.

What are dividend kings?

Companies that have raised their dividend for 50 or more consecutive years. S&P doesn't publish a kings index the way it does for the aristocrats; the lists come from independent researchers and don't agree with each other, with 2026 counts ranging from 52 to 59 companies.

Is this list a recommendation?

No. It reports the index membership and measurements of each company's payment record. Whether any of them suits you depends on your situation.
